Mission 4: Team FUBAR and Team Treble’n’Bass – Part 7


“Your time is up Shiv! Give up the hostages now, and come quietly!” Piano ordered, hoping that Shiv would do the exact opposite. Craving the chance to fight, and finally prove her prowess in combat, she wanted to take Shiv on, and beat him with all the might she could muster up.

“Only three of you..? What a pity… Weak by the looks of you…” Shiv spoke, adjusting his nicked and battle worn feathers, and showing little interest in the three rescuers before him.

“Fine then, have it your way!” Piano shouted, jumping at Shiv and readying a dynamic punch, her fist cocked and aimed at the center of his body. However, before Piano could follow through with her punch, an intensely bright flash blinded her.

“What the!?” She exclaimed, as Shiv bolted forward, using the flash as a cover, in an attempt to slam into Piano with a vicious steel wing, when he got rocked aside by a blast coming from the cave wall to his left. Due to his bad eye, he didn’t see the blast until it hit him, and hit him hard.

From the cloud of debris, CuJario appeared, flying and impacting Shiv’s side with a dominating blaze kick. However, this version of blaze kick was a searing heat, not flaming. His leg was glowing red, yellow, and gold, as if it was coated in magma, striking Shiv and sending him aside in shock.

“What the he-“ He started to demand as he tried to recover, only to be met with a blazing Thai-kick to the head. CuJario then backed off, landing beside Piano.

“You alright?” He asked, seeing the little Plusle rub her eyes in a bit of disorientation.

“Y-Yeah. Didn’t expect that blinding flash…” She replied, making it back onto her feet.

“Remember, he is known for blinding and bullying his foes.” CJ stated, turning back to the recovering Shiv.

“Looks like I get to kill the hostages now…” He grinned, standing up. Just as he was about to dart over toward the cage with Maple, Cindi, and Mindi inside, he was nearly set ablaze by a pillar-looking wave of fire. Scarlet had loosed an intense flamethrower, coating the ground and preventing Shiv from reaching his target.

“You jerk! Big damn bully!” Forte spoke up, looking absolutely furious. He could not believe that anyone would actually try to harm another innocent Pokemon like that. CuJario took notice to this reaction Forte had, and decided to make the best of it.

“Piano, Forte, attack now at once!” CuJario ordered, jumping forward and readying a blaze kick. Piano and Forte nodded confidently, and also took charge, coming in at Shiv from both sides, essentially pushing him back towards the cave wall, so he could not escape.

CJ struck first, firing a massive flurry of blaze kicks, slamming into Shiv’s center, and pummeling his steel feathers with each blow. Piano hit second, slamming one hell of a Dynamic punch into his right side, as Forte hit third, with an incredible mega punch, the trio causing Shiv to take each blow, and slam into the wall behind him with great force. But the attack did not stop there. Beating the ever-loving crap out of the usually brutish Skarmory, they not only pinned him into the cave wall with their blows, but also started leaving an indent in the cave wall, eventually hitting with such force that poor Shiv crashed through it, and into another room, knocked out cold, and bloodied up from the intense beating.

Halting their attack finally, the trio stopped, catching their breath from the excessive use of their attacks on what one would consider “Fully automatic”.

“G-Good job you two.” CJ huffed, a slight grin on his face. His leg finally stopped glowing, the blaze kick status finally wearing off.

“D-Damn! That guy got owned!” Piano shouted, flexing her right paw into a fist, and laughing triumphantly.

“I-I didn’t think I could do that…” Forte frowned, almost looking scared of the damage he had done to not only Shiv, but also the cave wall he was pinned against.

“You guys grab the hostages, get them free from the cage and I’ll get the triangle…” CJ stated, the brother-sister duo nodding in response, and going off to work.

After all was said and done, the teams returned to Snowy Village, having saved the hostages, captured and beaten Shiv, and obtained the Icicle Triangle. Chill could not have been more pleased and surprised by the results of the rescue teams, praising them and thanking them heavily for accomplishing such a great task. From there, the group departed from Snowy Village, finally returning to Tao. But, not until after the successful mission was celebrated throughout the village, and many jovial moments were had for all… Except Shiv, of course.
